The short version
I write warm, hopeful Christian fiction for young readers. My stories live in the ordinary places where character is actually formed — school hallways, back gardens, kitchen tables, the walk home.
The Meeting the Allens series follows Jordan, a boy who arrives somewhere new and finds a family willing to make room for him. Over three books he learns what it costs to speak up, what forgiveness looks like when it isn't easy, and how friendship holds steady through both.
I believe children's stories should be gentle without being soft, and faithful without being preachy. Kids can carry real questions — they just want to carry them alongside someone who believes things turn out okay.
“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”
Romans 12:21
When I'm not writing, I'm usually reading something far too long, walking somewhere with no particular destination, or talking with young readers about the parts of the story they would have written differently.
